Jalingo – The Federal Government has earmarked N200 million for the 
Aquatic Bio-resources Training Centre of the National Biotechnology 
Development Agency, Tunari in Taraba state.

 Senate minority leader and Senator representing Taraba South, Emmanuel 
Bwacha disclosed this on Saturday in Wukari while presenting 2 buses and
 an Hilux van as part of his support to enhance operations.
He said “the sum of N200 million have been appropriated for the construction of an administrative block.
“I am sure more than 50% of the sum would be released during the first trench of disbursement. ”
Bwacha who noted that the establishment of the agency in the state 
was as a result of the prominent role he played in the seventh senate as
 chairman, senate Committee on Agriculture, ultimately led to the 
president’s assent on the National Biotechnology bill.
The minister for Science and Technology, Ogbannaya Onu who received 
the keys of the operational vehicles from the lawmaker commended him for
 supporting the centre
Onu who was represented by Christopher John handed the keys to the 
coordinator of the aquatic bioresources training centre and promised 
effective utilization of the operational vehicles.
