23-year-old missed out of France's World Cup winning team Premier League side
Liverpool were dealt a major blow as their long term Paris Saint-Germain
target, Adrien Rabiot has decided to sign for Barcelona. The Reds were confident
the Frenchman who will be out of contract with PSG would join them after
reportedly making a big offer. English champions Manchester City were also
linked to the the 23-year-old but according to Spanish news media outlet Mundo
Deportivo, Rabiot has agreed for a switch to the Camp Nou.
PSG
had tabled a fresh deal for Rabiot, but the academy graduate of the club is
free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club from the New Year.
Barca transfer chief Eric Abidal recently held talks with the player and his
club and the midfielder has given the nod to play for the Catalans next season.
A
letter from our Editor-in-Chief Bayo Olupohunda Rabiot has been tracked by the
La Liga giants for a while and his departure will come as a big loss to the
Parc des Princes outfit.
